Collected
40.1 Millions of dollars
The Public Registry reported a total income of 40.1 millions of dollars for
the year 2006, regarding payment for registration of companies, representing
an increase of 32.8% or 9.9 millions of dollars compared to 2005.
With these results, the institution was able to exceed the estimated budget
of collection of 33.3 millions of dollars, demanded by the Ministry of
Economy and Finances.
The increase in the collection was took place, notwithstanding a low
decrease in the number of registered companies. The total number of

3,000 less than 2005.
“The finances of the institution are considerable and the perspectives for
this year are better”, said Álvaro Vissueti, Director of the Public Registry.
In January, 2007, the Registry had a 2.8-million-dollar revenue, with a 1.3-million-dollar
surplus. In February, Vissueti expects a collection of 500,000 dollars.
